For this photo taken at the geysers in Yellowstone, I changed the tint and warmth of the photo. I added more  of a color pop in the blue of the water, because it wasn't as bright. I wish I had used my other lens, so that I could have gotten a wider shot, to get more of the trees in the background. I could crop it down, to just focus on the colors of the water, but I liked the way the tree trunks were bleached in this.

For this photo, I realize that the duck in the back is the one in focus compared to the one in front. I tried to edit it to add more clarity and lighten the color of the duck in the back. I think It's a good photo, but I wish I had gotten both ducks in focus. The way the water looks is my favorite aspect of this photo.

These are two photos that I had taken in September. I had put a different photo of the yellow eyed duck on the blog, but there was a yellow leaf behind his head that I couldn't edit out. So I had this one and I used the eraser tool to get a few leafs and dots out of the shot, and increased the color pop in his eye. The Canvas back with the red eye, I thought was a very good picture, because the red really stands out. Also the camera really focused in on the feathers of his wings, and the detail is just really nice.

Final Presentation

Canon EOS Rebel.  18-55mm lens. Manual Mode. ISO 800. F8. 0"8 AWB. RAW. No Flash. AV: 0. I tried a few other F settings, before I got to this one, and it looked the best. Canon EOS Rebel.  18-55mm lens. Auto ISO. F16. AWB Landscape Mode. RAW. No Flash. AV: 0. This is one of my first sunset photos, and I had most of the settings just on Auto. I think having F at 16, helped capture the colors of this sunset. Canon EOS Rebel.  75-300mm lens. Auto ISO. F18. AWB Landscape Mode. RAW. No Flash. AV:0. I wish I had used my 18-55mm lens for this and captured more of the hotpots. But in the end I think the closeup of the blue, gives the photo a very abstract feel. Canon EOS Rebel.  75-300mm lens. Auto ISO. F22. AWB, Daylight Setting. Landscape Mode. RAW. No Flash. Av:0 I was messing around with the Settings and put it on daylight. This was the only photo I got of maverick in this position, and its a little dark. I think I should have changed the F stop to something lower

AWB, Landscape, 18-55mm lens, RAW The photo of the shell in Yellowstone, I think is a good micro shot. The detail in the moss underneath and the swirl of the shape, is really attractive to me. Its a very abstract photo. The photo of big lake out in molt, was very light in the foreground, so I darkened it and tried to draw more attention to the sun rays,. I left the grass, because i think it looked really cool.

Blog Post: Editing Week

Image
Since this was editing week, on the 30th, I tried to edit these more than I usually do. I added more color to the leaf photo, it was more dull before and I focused it. I like this photo because of the way the water is moving, and the ripples from the rain. On the second photo, of the mountain range in Yellowstone, I like the effect of the light behind the mountains. I wish it could be more focused and clearer on the mountains,  and it would have been a perfect shot with a wave coming in off the lake.
